Our trailers are available to hire for periods from one day to five years, depending on the circumstances of trailer availability. Routine maintenance, servicing, 24-hour national breakdown assistance and MOT are included as part of the rental price. Punctures, damage to the trailer and insurance are excluded and must be covered by the operator.

The BS Trailers’ yard is open from 6:30am until 8pm and our offices are open from 8am – 6pm. Our team can make arrangements for collection from 6:30am onwards.

No, our trailers are not covered by insurance. This will be at the responsibility of the fleet operator as part of the rental agreement. Relevant, full insurance documents must be provided to BS Trailers upon account setup and before any rental agreement has been signed.
That depends on your location- We have a dedicated fleet of highly skilled mobile service engineers that can carry out servicing at your premises. Each mobile service van is fully equipped with parts, tools, welding facilities and the latest diagnostic technology to ensure rapid diagnosis and repair including the latest ABS & EBS braking systems. Alternatively we have a Nationwide group of Allied Service Partners that we work with, that can cover the farthest most haulier locations in England, Scotland & Wales, and we can advise on those closest to your operating centre.
We have a selection of trailers available with cameras fitted, though this isn’t an included standard with every hire. Operators looking for camera-fitted trailers should enquire with our team prior to renting as it must be built into the rental contract. Cameras are an added extra and may incur an additional fee.

We deliver across the entirety of the UK from £3 per mile from LU7. We do not currently enforce a cap on mileage and can deliver to England, Scotland and Wales. Alternatively, collection can be made from our yard in Leighton Buzzard with prior notification and arrangement with the team.

In instances where our trailers become damaged under your supervision, you should immediately notify our head office. We will make arrangements to recover the trailer and supply a replacement while we handle the relevant insurance proceedings. We process all damages and claims in-house. The outcome will be dependent on the severity of the damage and is dealt with on a case-by-case basis. In specific circumstances, the trailer may be repaired in our workshop or by an authorised repairer on-site, directly for the customer. 

All damage and associated repair costs are the responsibility of the hirer.

You can request an account application form by calling 01525 574270, once completed this can be emailed along with a copy of your operator’s licence & current valid insurance certificate. We will then process this as soon as is practicable, as we at BS Trailers pride ourselves on being able to offer a same day new application to trailer collection service- wherever possible. In all circumstances your company must be based in the UK, registered as Limited with Companies House, and return an acceptable credit score, for application and acceptance.

Yes, our trailers can be taken abroad provided we are given prior notice in advance. This should usually be discussed with our team upon signing the rental contract, but in the instance of unexpected change, please inform us on 01525 574268 to discuss your options. All trailers travelling to Europe must abide by EU specifications and trailer law, and must be registered to travel abroad with prior notification with our office.

We require every new customer to complete and return our Account Form prior to rental discussions with our team. We credit check every applicant to assess and receive a credit rating depending on their status. 

We also require a full Hauliers Operators Licence, ADR certification and a copy of the operator’s insurance for every new account, providing this is compliant and general housekeeping has been adhered to.

We reserve the right to adjust our hiring prices based on contract longevity, service cycle, operators licence conditions, hire volume, and credit rating, alongside all relevant economic conditions.
Our 13.6m full-length trailers can store 26 standard -sized pallets. This number will obviously vary based on the trailer type, pallet size and other conditions.
